TEN FOOT STEPS
- Check your feet for lumps, bumps, blemishes, grazes and cuts, and treat these imperfections at their first onset.
- Wash your feet at least once a day, and always after exercise.
- Keep your feet warm and dry.
- Trim your nails straight across.
- Exfoliate your feet with a pumice stone.
- Apply a moisturizer to your feet at night and then put on socks so that the moisturizer fully penetrates your skin.
- Do not covet shoes you cannot wear. Instead, go shopping for ones you can.
- Insure that your shoes fit properly - there should be approximately the width of your thumb between the end of the longest toes and the end of your shoe.
- Alternate shoes so you will have dry, clean shoes each morning.
- Stretch (and not just after sports).
