SPECIAL EYE TREATMENT

The delicate area around the eyes deserves special care - having few oils or sweat glands, skin around the eyes is the first to show aging , and is very sensitive to incorrect handling or neglect.

Eye muscles are constantly moving, even during sleep, and facial expressions like squinting and frowning stress the thin, sensitive skin, as do lack of sleep, poor diet, hormonal changes, allergies and too vigorous makeup application and removal.

Despite its relative inability to retain moisture, the delicate skin of the eye also cannot tolerate over-rich creams and will react quickly with puffiness, whiteheads sensitivity and irritation.

Simple, old fashioned remedies are surprisingly effective. Treat your 'windows of the soul' to a little care and attention. Stress, travel, harsh lighting and glare as well as long hours at the computer exact their toll in the form of 'bags', dark circles, bleary red eyes and a dull, tired appearance.

Basic eye compresses made from cooled chamomile tea bags are excellent for reducing puffiness and brightening the eyes.

The Simplest Pick-Me-Up Eye Treatment
  • 2 chamomile tea bags
  • 8 oz (240ml) spring water

Bring the water to boil, pour over the tea bags in a large cup, steep for one minute, remove tea bags and place them in the freezer for five minutes while you sip the tea. Place the tea bags over your eyes, lie back and relax. This quick, simple treatment is guaranteed to totally destress you and bring a lively sparkle to your eye!!

ITS TRUE NOT A GIMMICK

Recently,I had a lot of ulcers on the left side of my mouth due to lack of drinking water and heatiness. I left them alone without applying anything at all. My left cheeck slightly swollen and my friends been telling me to apply bonjela ointment and eat hot and spicy food or apply salt on the ulcers itself. I ignored their advice because I knew it will be very, very painful. They healed on their own but it took weeks.

After that I had a couple of ulcers, now on my right lower lip and side of the tongue. Oh......man it was very very very painful. I couldn't talk properly, drink and even eat. The moment I woke up from my sleep, I could feel the throbbing pain and it was worst than toothache. I had difficult days and weeks because of the pain. I refused to apply anything at all but the ulcers didn't get any better but in fact they were getting worst, bigger, redder and more painful than before.

My colleague recommended me to apply aloe vera gel on the ulcer. She brought the aloe vera plant next day and taught me how to apply it. I cut a leaf and washed it and remove the prickly skin before slice it in half lengthwise. Then, I applied the gel directly on my ulcers two-three times a day. It had a soothing effect and I did not feel pain at all. After two days of applying the gel, I could eat, drink and talk as per normal and my ulcers were smaller and no longer affected me.

So, now I keep aloe vera plant and planted it in a pot for emergency.
